Математичному журналу ЛНУ 20 років / Mathematical Journal of LNU is 20 years old
У цьому році виповнилося 20 років від дня заснування математичного журналу «Algebra and Discrete Mathematics».
У 2022 році виповнилося 20 років з дня заснування міжнародного математичного журналу «Algebra and Discrete Mathematics». У 2002 році за ініціативи доктора фізико-математичних наук, професора Усенка Віталія Михайловича Луганський національний університет імені Тараса Шевченка став засновником журналу «Algebra and Discrete Mathematics».
Журнал «Algebra and Discrete Mathematics» має міжнародну редакційну колегію, до складу якої входять провідні вчені з різних країн світу: Австрії, Бразилії, Канади, Німеччини, Молдови, Польші, Швеції, України та США. Головними редакторами журналу є член-кореспондент НАН України, доктор фізико-математичних наук, професор Ю. А. Дрозд та доктор фізико-математичних наук, професор А. В. Жучок. Ученим секретарем журналу є доктор фізико-математичних наук, професор Ю. В. Жучок, а технічним редактором – А. Б. Попов. Згідно з наказом МОН України № 612 від 07.05.2019 видання включено до категорії «А» Переліку наукових фахових видань України.
Журнал реферується в таких всесвітніх базах наукових видань, як Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt Math. У червні 2012 року журнал «Algebra and Discrete Mathematics» прийнято до наукометричної бази даних Scopus – найбільшої у світі універсальної реферативної бази з можливостями відстежування наукової цитованості публікацій. Сьогодні індекс Scopus SJR журналу складає 0,282. У грудні 2016 року видання прийнято до Emerging Sources Citation Index – бази даних наукових журналів, яка є частиною Core Collection Web of Science. Нагадаємо, що наукометрична база даних Web of Science – одна з найбільших у світі пошукових платформ, яка містить реферативні бази академічних матеріалів з урахуванням їх взаємного цитування, на основі яких кожен журнал отримує окремий імпакт-фактор. Індексування у Web of Science свідчить про високий статус та значущість наукового журналу серед світової наукової спільноти.
З 2002 по 2022 роки завдяки роботі редакційної колегії підготовлено та надруковано 81 номер журналу, у яких уміщено 885 наукових статей. Середнє число статей на рік – 44, а середнє число статей у номері – 11. За цей період у журналі були опубліковані дослідження вчених з більш ніж 50 різних країн світу. Усі статті, представлені в журналі, публікуються лише англійською мовою й проходять обов’язкову процедуру рецензування. Випуски деяких номерів присвячено відомим вітчизняним та закордонним математикам, а також найбільш важливим алгебраїчним подіям в Україні та за її межами.
Завдяки злагодженій роботі членів міжнародної редколегії журнал «Algebra and Discrete Mathematics» відповідає міжнародним стандартам публікацій і сприяє інтеграції вітчизняного наукового потенціалу у світовий науковий простір та створенню якісної публічної комунікації вчених-математиків.

This year the journal Algebra and Discrete Mathematics marks the 20th anniversary of the founding.
In 2022, it will be 20 years since the founding of the international mathematical journal “Algebra and Discrete Mathematics”. In 2002, at the initiative of the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Vitalii Mykhailovych Usenko, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University became the founder of the journal “Algebra and Discrete Mathematics”.
“Algebra and Discrete Mathematics” journal has an international editorial board, which includes leading scientists from around the world: Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine and the United States. The editors-in-chief of the journal are Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Yu. A. Drozd and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor A.V. Zhuchok. The scientific secretary of the journal is Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Yu. V. Zhuchok, and the technical editor is A.B. Popov. According to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 612 dated 07.05.2019, the publication is included in category “A” of the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine.
The journal is reviewed in such global databases of scientific publications as Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt Math. In June 2012, “Algebra and Discrete Mathematics” was included in the Scopus scientometric database, the world’s largest universal reference database with the ability to track the scientific citations of publications. Today, the Scopus SJR index of the journal is 0,282. In December 2016, the publication was admitted to the Emerging Sources Citation Index, a database of scientific journals that is part of the Core Collection Web of Science. It will be recalled that the Web of Science scientometric database is one of the world’s largest search platforms, which contains abstract databases of academic materials based on their mutual citation, on the basis of which each journal receives a separate impact factor. Indexing in the Web of Science testifies to the high status and importance of the scientific journal among the world scientific community.
From 2002 to 2022, thanks to the work of the editorial board, 81 issues of the journal were prepared and published, which contained 885 scientific articles. The average number of articles per year is 44, and the average number of articles in the issue is 11. During this period, the journal published studies by scientists from more than 50 different countries. All articles in the journal are published in English only and are subject to mandatory review. Some issues are devoted to famous domestic and foreign mathematicians, as well as the most important algebraic events in Ukraine and abroad.
Thanks to the coordinated work of the members of the international editorial board, “Algebra and Discrete Mathematics” journal meets international standards of publications and promotes the integration of domestic scientific potential into the world scientific space and the creation of quality public communication of mathematics scientists.
